Built in 2001, Wayside Investment Group acquired the Travelodge by Wyndham in November 2019. The hotel presented a substantial opportunity as we identified the a€?Ca€? asset in an a€?Aa€? location as under managed and poorly maintained, causing it to under penetrate the market and perform below its competitive set of hotels.


Wayside Investment Group implemented their longer duration income strategy by repositioning the asset through extensive renovations and a brand conversion to a Red Roof PLUS+ a€“ the leader in economy lodging. Within the first quarter, the asset indicated enhanced yields a€“ and sees year over year RevPAR growth and strong financials.
